Date: Sunday June 29, 2003 Fish: Fluke
#: 14 Fluke and 3 BIG seabass Largest: 3.5 pounds
Location: South of the Pink Hotel in 65 foot depths
Crew: Bob, Tom, Mark & Al (Tom & Marks Dad)
There has only been 2 trips this year with the old Megabyte crew and the last was a long time before, so with my vacation starting this weekend, I wanted to do a Sunday trip following the shark trip on Saturday for my buddies. As luck would have it, Al and Ronnie couldn't make it, so it was me & Bob. Tommy and Mark came along too and they brought their dad. It's a good thing too, because he cought more than half of the fish in the cooler! With each new drift we made several adjustments mostly going out towards deeper and deeper water. With each adjustment came better fish. On one drift we hooked up with 3 very large (over 3 pounds each) seabass. By days end, we ended up with a good amount of tasty fish on a very relaxing day.
