Once again it was time for "All good things to come to an end". The great fluke fishing that persisted all week at Ambrose came to a
sudden end on Friday and lasted to Sunday at least. But... no one told the fleet. There had to be over 60 head boats in the channel and
over 400 private vessels. And few fluke coming over the railing. We stuck it out till 1:30 hoping for a change in tide or wind that will
make things right. But it didn't happen. We managed around 14 fluke, 4 of which were keepers. Then around 1:00 we shot over to the
rockaway reef and in 3 drifts caught 5 fluke and around 14 seabass. 1 or 2 fluke were keepers and many of the seabass were too. 3:00 we
called it a day.
